Imagine yourself if you will, waking up one morning, opening your eyes
to a...black and white world! Shaking your head in disbelief, rubbing
your eyes, closing them and opening again...nothing changed, the world
is still black and white...no other color what-so-ever. Now you start
thinking...is it morning or afternoon? Is this the blue shirt or the
green one? And what is that "thing" overlaid on my plate?
Colors are the language the universe is using in a conversation with our
soul!
Colors are certain energetic codes. Each color holds different energy,
and each color is active in a different area. As human beings we are
able to distinguish seven main color rays here on earth, energies we
refer to as the "rainbow colors". In addition we also have the "infra
red" and the "ultra violet" rays. All hues, shades and different tints
we are able to perceive are being formed from the main rainbow colors,
in different dosages and combinations. I see it as an infinite creation,
in constant motion.
Different additional colors do exist in the universe, yet they are
energetically unfit to reach earth.
The history of color goes back all the way to the "big bang". That was
the first time colors were presented into this universe. They have been
in use ever since. Our planet, earth, is called the blue planet; other
planets have their own relations with different colors. Mars is
considered red; Venus is pink; Uranus is electric blue.
Throughout all human evolution, we have always used colors in many
different ways. In Atlantis it was the loading of the energies into the
crystal mountain that provided life force to earth; in ancient Egypt it
was used to heal the person physically as well as mentally and
spiritually. Body paints have been used in native cultures for different
processes. The animal kingdom uses colors for camouflage, or prominence,
depending on the place, time, situation and the animal itself. The flora
kingdom is reflecting all colors in a most awesome way, allowing us to
experience the great variety of beauty.
Today we know and use many different methods for working with color
therapy. The most popular ones are working with chakras-the energetic
centers placed in and out of our body, working with crystals, herbs,
colored water, working on our aura, as well as different methods of
diagnosing situations by color readings. We also know the work with
physical paints such as body paints, drawing as a therapy, and the
design of our surroundings for the optimum effect. In every place we
exist, on every situation, we always see, speak, sense, hear and breathe
colors be it in the physical awareness, or beyond.
As a person who "lives" colors all the time, I would like to mention a
few of the better known and unknown methods of color therapy. First I
would like to emphasize that the most important tool we have is how we
"feel" about certain colors at a given moment. Our soul and inner core
know our personal color combinations to begin with, and they know which
color energy is needed at certain times. Listening to our inner self can
give us the best indication to our situation then.
The Chakra Therapy:
Working with the chakra energy centers is well spread throughout the
world, in ancient times as well as in modern life. The main chakra
centers are placed along our physical spine, in the front and in the
back. They look like color circles but actually have the shape of a
cone, narrow towards the physical body, and wider as it expands
outwards.
The Seven Main Color Chakras: (We begin counting them down, going upward.) The Base chakra-is located about 2" below our genitals. The color is red.
The Hara chakra-is located around the navel. The color is orange.
The Solar Plexus chakra-is located in the middle of our physical Solar
Plexus. The color is yellow.
The Heart chakra-is located in the middle of our chest. The colors are
green and pink.
The Throat chakra-is located around the dent we have in the lower part
of the throat. The color is blue.
The Third Eye chakra-is located between our eyebrows, about 0.5" higher.
The color is purple or indigo.
The Crown chakra-is located in the middle of our skull, where there is a
small dent. The color is white.
Being energetic centers, the chakras are active all the time, processing
different situations we are going through 24 hours a day. Each and every
piece of information is received, translated in the area regarded, and
sends out an answer. Each chakra holds its own "library" of information,
and is used for input as well as output. More chakras are found all over our body, some of them smaller and placed in minor places like the palms of our hands, at the center of our feet, and in the different joints. Out-of-body chakras are placed above the Crown chakra as well as below the Base one.
Maintaining our energy centers can be done by us on a daily or casual
basis, as well as by a therapist working a one on one treatment, or by
sending the healing from a distance. Chakras are very easy to work with
for the reaction is usually felt immediately. The most popular methods
for balancing are: visualized energies, different crystals according to
their colors, herbs, color pyramids, color light projection, different
breathing techniques, and the use of colored water.
Loading Colored Water:
Colored water can be used to work on each level separately or on the
whole person in general. We can drink different colored water for many
purposes. For example, when a person feels tired and drained for a long
time, it will be recommended to drink red loaded water for a period of
time in order to restore the energies. For dealing with cold situations,
as well as the flu, it is recommended to drink green loaded water for a
few days in order to help the body overcome the weakness. Preparing the
water needs some attention and awareness on our side. First, for being
aware of which color is needed, or which color is the one which is
"calling" us. Second, it is usually done by putting a certain color
crystal into a transparent glass jug filled with refined water. Then,
leaving it outdoors under the sun or moonlight for at least 24 hours.
This allows the water to absorb the energies of the elements as well as
the color from the crystal. Third, is our responsibility, and
consistency, of using that energy.
Aura Colors:
Our energetic body-the aura, is a combination of seven different
electromagnetic energies. It looks like layers of colors wrapping one
another, very much like the onion layers. These layers work very much on
the same basis as the seven colors of the chakra centers; and they are
indeed connected to one and other. The aura can be used for analysis of
different blocks and interferences, as well as for active healing.
The Seven Layers of the Aura:
The first layer is the Physical Body-connected to the base chakra. It is
considered red.
The second layer is the Etheric Body-less dense than the physical
energetically speaking, is actually the exact copy of the physical body
and holds the same information. The color is orange.
The third layer is the Astral Body-responsible for our feelings, is in
constant motion and changes its color frequently. The astral body is
connected to the Solar Plexus.
The fourth layer is the Mental Body-our intellectual tool, the one which
holds all our thoughts and imaginings, the colors are changeable, and it
is related to the Heart chakra.
The fifth layer is the Causative Body-the source for the inner strength
of a person, its colors are changeable, but it mainly holds the color
blue. It is connected to the Throat chakra.
The sixth layer is the Universal Soul-it is related and connected
strongly to the Third Eye chakra. The colors are all the different tones
of purple, from the very light lilac to the deepest purple.
The seventh layer is the "I Am" Body-the place where the person ends and
the cosmos begins. This body is connected to the Crown chakra, and
usually seen as white formless energy.
As human beings we communicate through our aura, sending and receiving
colored energies. We track and absorb the aura of the person standing in
front of us, or the aura of a person that just passed by us, or even the
aura of a person standing behind us. This is the "eyes in the back of my
head" feeling we all experience from time to time. We know the feelings
of attraction towards someone, or the rejection we have in other
situations. When we meet a person for the first time and there is an
immediate "click", we feel we "know" the person, it usually means that
our color combination is very much alike. Each of us holds a different
percentage of color in the aura an chakras. That is what we call our
attributes. The Animal kingdom, Flora kingdom, and Inanimate kingdom all
have auras around them in different combinations, each radiating
different might. The moon and sun both have auras around them. It is
much easier to see the moon aura than the one of the sun of course. The
aura is an energetic treatment, constantly active and changing,
receiving and sending color codes throughout the universe. It is a
"living body"! One that allows us to live here in the physical dimension
and be connected to the Creation at the same time.
Colors in the Physical Dimension:
I got up this morning and put on a green shirt...why? My bed room is
being painted in a lilac color...what made me pick that color? Just
bought a new red car!...does it mean anything? The answer is yes. It
does. Colors are combined into the physical level in all areas of life.
Most of the time we use them in an unconscious way, by impulses we are
getting from our soul as a need for certain energy at a given moment. We
can find humans that are attracted more to the warm colors like: red,
orange and yellow. Conversely there are those who are attracted to the
cool colors like: green, blue and purple. The colors we are in touch
with around the clock are being found in: our food, drinks, wardrobe,
house designs, accessories, ornaments...you name it! Color is
everywhere! Even our language is colored. White for referring to
purity-"he is as white as snow..."; blue for sadness-"I'm feeling
blue..."; green for envy-"she's green with envy..."; and many more
expressions we use. Native American tradition is using colors in
claiming the directions, the different moons/months, and human races.
Each color holds a different energetic meaning.
It will be right to say we actually live in a color dimension,
experiencing these different wonderful energies during all our lives and
beyond.
