Spring to me is all about new growth, life, vitality and
new beginnings. It is one of my favorite times of year. I love that is stays
light outside for longer and it’s nice to see the new growth on the trees,
the buds on spring flowers and more people out and about. This new energy
seems to be contagious; people seem happier and less stressed out, at least
after tax season anyway! Spring is an excellent to time to clean up around
the yard and inside the house, getting rid of things you don’t need anymore.
Many people get a new hairstyle, buy some new spring clothing, and even get
a makeover. Many people overlook the importance of cleaning our inner body
though. Do you do an internal cleanse at least once a year? Why not a
makeover from the inside out? This is the most effective, longest lasting
type. Sure getting a new hairstyle or changing your makeup colors will make
you feel better about yourself but this is only for appearance sake. This
doesn’t physically help your internal organs and systems, especially if you
are using mainstream personal care products which contain all too common
toxic and cancer causing chemicals. When we lessen how much and what we are
putting in, our bodies are allowed the time and energy to let go of what
isn’t needed and begin repairing. Whether you do a specific internal cleanse
with natural herbal supplements like what The BodyWealth ™ Network offers
through The Amazon Herb Company or by just taking even 4 days and doing a
mild food diet you will be doing yourself a huge favor. To give your body a
break and a chance to eliminate and repair take a few days and increase your
water intake, cut out or back on the caffeine and sugar allowing your body
to flush. Drink some herbal tea. Eliminate or at least cut back on foods
that are hard to digest such as pasta, bread, dairy, meat and processed,
refined food. Cut out condiments and dressings, they generally have nasty
preservatives and usually too much sugar. Instead try making food more
flavorful with herbs and safer dressings like pure cold pressed oils.
Increase your intake of raw fruits, vegetables and raw, unsalted nuts and
seeds. Juicing fresh fruit and vegetables is also beneficial while
cleansing. It is important to have some protein with your carbohydrates
(fruits and veggies) even if they are incomplete such as raw nuts, seeds or
a pure cold pressed source of essential fatty acids such as flax seed oil.
This will ensure that you’re not spiking your blood sugar levels. If you are
just eating carbohydrates such as fruit and veggies your blood sugar level
raises too high causing your pancreas to overwork to produce insulin to
lower blood sugar to a safe level. If you find you’re tired and have no
energy not long after eating this is the reason why. Your blood sugar level
actually gets lowered to a level less than when you were hungry in the first
place. There are a few beneficial supplements you can add to help your body
cleanse. One of these is chlorophyll. You can buy it in health food stores
in liquid form and just add it to your water. It is dark green but tasteless
and is a great blood purifier. It will help to rid toxins that your body is
letting go of. Pysillium is an inexpensive fiber supplement found in health
food stores as well, it will help to keep you eliminating regularly which is
very important always, not just when cleansing. It will help to clean your
colon which is much needed. Our colon walls get a buildup and backed up just
like our plumbing systems in our house. This causes too many toxins in our
system and the inability to absorb nutrients. You can see how this alone can
be the main cause of much avoidable disease. Fresh squeezed lemon in warm
water first thing in the morning is very helpful in getting your elimination
system going. As well the lemon actually makes our bodies more alkaline
believe it or not (since lemon is citric acid) making our bodies an
unwelcome place for parasites, therefore disease too. The body is truly
remarkable in its ability to look after itself if we give it a chance. 98%
of our cells actually rebuild themselves in a one year period! So with the
change in seasons I encourage you to do some changing yourself. You will
feel more alive, have more energy, a better immune system and this will
reflect in every aspect of your life! To your health, Laurie Linsley
