Who does not need a moment in life to reflect with the Self? I have searched the Internet for the best looking spiritual treats of all denominations, most are very reasonable in price and serve great food in a modest setting. Most are open to people of all faiths. Visit the website to learn more. I provide this as a service and to promote knowing the Self.
1. Anglican Benedictine Holy Cross Monastery, Santa Barbara, CA
Anglican setting, "great hall," beautiful libraries and fireplaces. The brothers are white robed monks and they are very friendly. Setting is high above the coast of Santa Barbara with hiking trails and fresh air. Prayer and meditation optional twice a day. Meals are served at round tables; a healthy menu of homemade bread and vegetarian feasts.
2. The Buddhist Insight Meditation Center in Barre, MA
Daily instructions in meditation as well as evening talks about the Buddha's teachings are given, with individual or group interviews with the teachers taking place at regular intervals. Complete silence is maintained during most retreats at all times, except during teacher interviews.

Lots of programs for visitors and residents. This group is Christian but they say everyone is welcome. It's a big Victorian farmhouse and you share a room with others.
10. Luminous Peak Buddhist Retreat Cabin, Tara Mandala (Southwest Colorado)
A unique opportunity to be alone. The cabin is 11' by 11' and was consecrated in 1998. There is no electricity or phone.
