NEW BOOK CITES IMPORTANT DIABETES RESEARCH

By: Honora Lee Wolfe

Boulder, CO -6 December, 1999 - A new book from Blue Poppy Press gives diabetes sufferers new hope of safe and effective treatment without drugs and their potential side effects. In Controlling Diabetes Naturally with Chinese Medicine, author Lynn Kuchinski offers both numerous self-help remedies as well as alternative professional treatments that have proven effective in clinical trials on non-insulin dependent diabetes (NIDD) published in a variety of prestigious Chinese medical journals.

Lynn Kuchinski is New Mexico-licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine who has spent a number of years studying and treating this increasingly common disease. In this book, Kuchinski introduces the basic theories of Chinese medicine as they relate to diabetes in an easy to understand way and then goes on to describe everything from Chinese acupressure, "seven star hammer" therapy, and magnetotherapy to acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbs. In addition, there are important sections on Chinese dietary therapy, exercise, and deep relaxation. This alternative approach is not only supported by real-life case histories, but also by a number of clinical trials conducted in the People's Republic of China over the last several years. For those who would like to try her advice, Kuchinski provides sound information on where and how to find bona fide professional practitioners of Chinese medicine as well as numerous other resources and sources for the home remedies she describes.
