| Article: How Does Tahitian Noni Work? - by Sasha Storper | ||
|
For over 2,000 years, Polynesians have used noni to help with a multitude of health conditions including fevers, coughs, diabetes and liver. Noni’s healing properties were passed down from generation to generation. Noni comes from a tree that grows up to 1,000 feet. Since its introduction only nine years ago, Tahitian Noni Juice has earned the respect and support of numerous doctors and scientists around the world. It has a proven track record of helping thousands of people with a multitude of health problems. As a result more and more people are finding out what the Polynesians have known for thousands of years- noni works! A man named Dr. Ralph Heinick has extensively studied the use of the Noni fruit as a curative supplement. He conducted research on Noni for over 35 years. One of the most important discoveries that he made is that there is a special alkaloid found in healthy human cells called xeronine. People who do not have high amounts of this alkaloid in their cells often have health problems. This alkaloid is found in the Noni fruit. When you ingest the fruit, it becomes active in your body. Noni helps make people feel better who are suffering from anxiety and depression. The xeronine can help to convert some brain proteins into areas that are receptive to endorphins. It is also said to help individuals who are experiencing such chronic conditions as chronic fatigue syndrome, and chronic pain. The Noni plant leads to increased enzyme activity in the body, which in turn has positive effects upon bodily functions. Dr. Mian- Ying Wang, a researcher at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, believes that noni acts as a Yin/Yang food supplement regulator. “Its regulatory power is seen in the way the fruit can benefit two opposite health conditions such as diarrhea and constipation, or high and low blood pressure,” she explains. Dr. Wang suggests that noni is an adaptogen or “ an agent that increases the bodies ability to environmental and internal stress by strengthening the immune, nervous and glandular system.” Dr. Neil Solomon has surveyed over 200 health professionals who have clinical experience with noni juice. Their data represents more than 20,000 noni users as well as the health conditions from which they suffer. The information obtained shows that 78% of participants said they experienced health benefits and 69% said they would never stop drinking noni! |
