Is Your Body/Mind/Spirit crying out to stop?

Do you have nagging aches and pains? Or spend sleepless nights tossing and turning as your mind agitates and spins over personal life events? Then a retreat might be just what the doctor ordered!

Why spend thousands of $$'s chasing a cure for aches and pains--when sometimes the pain is a cry to stop! Many times the body is crying out to have personal quiet time to reflect and go within. Recent studies have shown that millions of dollars are spent each year for medications that have no real or lasting cure. Yet these medications have enormous side effects on top of the current pain. Medications become a toxic chemical, which the already stressed body must neutralize and release. This puts yet another burden, on the weakened immune and nervous systems.

A health spa retreat allows you time to cleanse your body, and feed your spirit. How do you plan a retreat? First determine your goals for your retreat. Many of our retreat guests come to us seeking a spiritual connection and more inner peace. Also, most guest come to us at a time when they are in a transition and are seeking answers. It is hard to find these answers during the hurried pace of everyday life.

Once you have determined what you are looking to accomplish during your retreat the next step is easier. Then you can determine where you would like to travel and begin to check out the retreats in that area. Some travel logistics to consider are; what climate you enjoy, and what do you enjoy doing when you are in nature? For many it is easier to get away during a slower season if you have your own business and sometimes it is easier to get time off from jobs during a slow season. Although, many of our guests find themselves in a personal crisis, and perhaps at a breaking point before they take their break. This usually means less time to plan and that you must make quick decisions and last minute travel arrangements.

Now that you have determined your goals for your retreat, and have an idea of where you would like to travel, research the venues available. As you begin your search, it is important to make sure the retreat facilitators have experience in the area of you special needs. Also, determine how easy it is to travel to your destination. Often you will be able to find a shuttle service to your destination from the airport. Make sure to set your itinerary up so that you have plenty of down time for journaling and introspection, and keep bringing yourself back to your goals for your retreat. Once you are clear on your intentions it is easy to stay focused and find the right health spa retreat facility.

Being away from the chaos of life and the demands of job, personal relationships, and hectic schedules, brings clarity and inner peace.
